Communication support

This service aims to develop the maximum possible autonomy in communication for students with compromised verbal language or communication.

This service aims at supporting students in educational activities with the aid of specialized personnel of the CAA (Comunicazione Aumentativa Alternativa) or W.O.C.E. (Written Output Communication Enhancement).

Students who wish to use this service, must provide the Office for Students with Disabilities and SLD with detailed documentation on the methods of communication adopted for previous studies

The Office will call for a preliminary meeting in order to evaluate the documentation submitted, analyze specific needs and identify any activities to be undertaken. The specific Department Reference person, the operator and experts in the field will be present at the meeting.

Requests must detail the planned academic activities and follow the details below.

Requests

Students can request assistance on-line for a single lesson or for the entire duration of the course and must indicate the activities he intends to follow, the dates and times.
Assistance requests have to be received at least 7 working days before the start of teaching activities, otherwise they will not be considered.

Scheduling

The student will receive confirmation within 3 days of the service requested by e-mail and must be present for the assistance to be delivered (cannot be conducted in remote).

Cancellation

Students who intend to cancel a previously requested assistance, must do so using the appropriate form.

Suspension

Students who do not show up to an appointment, or who repeatedly cancel requested assistance without a good reason, will be suspended from using the assistance service.
